I love to home school because you get to do it in your pajamas. Sometimes when Connie and Belle have Summit we get to have McDonald's for lunch. And sometimes on bad days all I have to do is go to my room to make myself feel better and it's just upstairs.
School is almost over and I can't wait to get into the cold hose. It will be fun to not wake up so early (side bar: they wake up at 8:00, it's not like I get them going at 5:00 in the morning.) There is more time to watch TV. The only thing I'll miss about school is probably doing my favorite subject, reading. (Interjection from sister who'd listening in: "You can read any time!") Another bad part is I'll have to play with Bram a lot and he pulls my hair.

Living with Lucy-May
today is our 171 day of school. We are going to test next week. We have nothing to do this summer . It is going to be boring. I am in the 4 th grade next year. My work is going to get so hard . My worst subject is grammar. Connie is starting high school. Molly is starting 2 grade. Belle is starting 7 th grade. I can't wait for summer.

Back with Belle
Hello everyone. The end of the the school year is very close. We only have 2 weeks left. Isn't that crazy. It feels like just yesterday we started. I will miss school.
HA! Yeah right! I'm just kidding. I am so excited about the end of the year. I can't wait until summer.
We are finishing up all of our books now. All of my books from the beginning of the year are already done, but, don't worry, she got us more. Now we are almost done with the new books. Thank goodness!!
We don't have anything at all for summer. We went on so many trips last year that my mom was so tired of traveling that she didn't schedule anything for this year. We will get together with some friends, and go to pools, and the mall, but nothing out of town. I'm pretty excited about a quiet summer but I will miss the beach.
Well, I've run out of things to say (and that doesn't happen a lot ha). I'll see you next time on Back with Belle! Bye!
Catching Up with Connie-April
Well hello there, its me, Connie. And it is my day to Blog.
Since this is "technically" my mother's blog, I was assigned what to write. So here goes nothing:
The school year is nearly over! Thank the heavens! I love being home-schooled, don't get me wrong, but it gets tough. I mean, think about it! Five kids, all under 15, and a mother who, between us, is like seriously crazy! I have no hope of growing up and being sane. And my kids won't even be able to think about being home-schooled. Unless their grandma did it. ;-)
Testing is coming up. I hate testing. Not because I think I do bad, it's just really really really boring. I get bored real easily. There has to be something fun or interesting going on or I tune out. I can not tune out while testing.
;-P
It was a good school year. Next year, for high school, (yeah you heard me! I'm a freshman next year!) I'll be doing an online school. I'm nervous about it and excited at the same time.

Molly's Musings-March

to the amaricen girl stor with nini and anay.

Dictated by Molly:
I got my doll's hair done and a pair of skates for her. I ate a hamburger at the cafe. It was the best! After we ate, we went to go find a outfit for Lucy's doll, and then Nini went to the car while we had my doll's hair done. After the American Girl store, Anay got Nini a coffee and us a snack and hot chocolate.
I've lost my first 2 teeth. I have another one lose and I'm so excited when it comes out because I get to show everybody. Some people don't like teeth. They think they're gross. My aunt doesn't like teeth.
Basketball just finished. Now I get to sleep in on Saturdays except softball and soccer games start this weekend. I'm not playing. I only go for the snacks.

Back with Belle
Hello. It is, I, Belle! I don't have a topic for this week but I do have a lot of stuff going on, so that's what I'll talk about.
Sports- I am finishing up basketball season right now which is a bummer. But I am starting softball. Which, of course, is exciting.
Reading- I am reading a really good book my mom recommended. The Host by Stephanie Meyers. She loved it and wanted us to read it so she could talk about it.
Homeschool School- At the homeschool school I am taking a drama class with Beth Mappes. She is a great teacher and an awesome actor! I love the class and the school and hope to take more next year.
Family- My family is sometimes hard to deal with. Having four siblings fighting for attention is not easy. My mom deals with it calmly (sometimes). Bram is a piece of work! Boy, he never stops talking and never stops moving!!! He's crazy! When someone yells at him he walks upstairs and says he is going to his room. Lucy and Molly are no better. They are just as crazy as he is. Oh and Connie, don't get me started on Connie. I love her to death, but sometimes all I want to do is rip her head off!!! I guess they are all mad because I am the best. :-) I love my family, but sometimes they are a pain in behind.
Friends- Grace is coming over on Friday for OAKS (something at my church that my mom is in charge of. We help her out). I am so excited. We haven't seen her in awhile. And we have some catching up to do!
Well, I ran out of subjects so I guess my blog is over. Thanks for listening. See you next time on Back with Belle :D!

Catching Up with Connie-February
Today is Ash Wednesday, so no meat today and no snacks and my Lenten Goals begin. My goals include-
Reading a book a week
Not complaining about school (I have already drastically failed but I'm going to try again tomorrow)
Mom also has some things for the family to do, but with those I just nod my head, smile and say the 2 magic words, "Yes Ma'am."
School is okay. Nothing much has happened since my last time.
I'm in a play. I'm John in the Passion of Jesus.
I'm not playing softball this season, but instead, I'm playing indoor soccer. Basketball is almost done which is sad, because it is my last season playing at the church.
Life is good in general.
I have no idea what to write because I'm what you could call, "cranky" so I'm not talking to any one. And the effect is I don't know what she wants on the blog. But I'm going to leave this up and hope I don't have to re-write any thing

Musings from Molly- February
I am working on subtracting in math.
in history we are doing rome. we just learned about gladiators.
yesterday we did art.
typed by Molly
Dictated by Molly: In Phonics I'm reading a chapter book called Detective Dog Goes on Vacation. I am working on memorizing my poems and my Catechism questions. I am learning about rocks in science. My favorite thing to do is reading comprehension and test prep, where I have a page to read or look at a picture and then answer questions. My least favorite thing to do is math. That's my hardest thing and it takes a long time. I wish we were learning about ice cream because it's so good, and we could try different kinds. I also don't like working on money because it's boring and totally not cool, man.

Back with Belle :D
Hello everyone. I am here for the same reason Connie was, to tell you about my school work. Won't that be fun.
In math I am learning about decimals. I finished fractions last year and now I am doing decimals.
In science I am learning about animals and soon......humans! Don don don! (I think that's scary music-Aimee) And the reproductive system. What fun!!!
In literature I just finished reading Helen Keller's autobiography. And now I am working on some things that have to do with Helen Keller.
In religion I am reading Mark in the Bible and learning about St. Francis.
In history I am learning about the Americas and soon the Romans. Julius Cesar and such.
In German I am learning things like the, you, he, she, it, and verbs.
I'm having lots of fun in school. My mom is an excellent teacher. (I didn't make her write that-Aimee)
Well, I've got to go!
Thanks for listening. See you next time on Back with Belle :D!

Catching Up With Connie
Well, it is Connie's turn to do the blog again, and I know this segment is you guys favorite. Right? Yeah, I know. :-)
My mom is ordering me, oh I mean requesting, that I tell you about school. She says it is a school blog and school will be my subject today.
Math- I'm learning how to find the area of a cylinder. I'm doing fairly well, I'm doing fairly well in math in general.
Science- In science I'm going to the home school-school. It's the second semester and I'm having a lot of fun. The teacher is great. The students are cool. And the experiment are actually working. I'm learning a lot. The only thing is we have homework and there is a difference between doing science with friends and doing science it at home.
Literature- Literature is my favorite subject, always has and always will be. I love to read and I love to write and the program I am doing has both. I just read a bunch of poems and am about to read the Hobbit, which is exciting.
History- Is with mother and my sisters. We are doing ancient world and we are currently reading about Alexander the Great.
I think that sums up most of school. I do other things but they are boring and unimportant. I think I'm passing everything, Mom hasn't yelled at me in a while so I guess all is good.

Molly's Musings-January
hi. we had a big christmas. one of my favorite gifts was a new barbie. I really loved the latkes for Hanukkah. by molly
Dictated from Molly:
I love my new Polly Pocket toy. Mama built it for me. It is roller skating. I went to the zoo with my cousins the day after Christmas. It was really fun. We went to a movie before Christmas. It was called Arthur's Christmas. We went with Anay and her work. First we ate at McDonald's and it was funner because Alex came, too. After that we went to my Aunt's house to celebrate the first night of Hanukkah. We made crafts and little baggies for our mom's and dad's. After crafts we ate dinner. We had latkes and chicken fingers. On the first night of Hanukkah I got a groovy girl set. On the send night, I got a Hello Kitty water cooler for my room. Hanukkah is fun because every year we go to Aunt Lisa's house and we make dreidles by ourselves with candy. And we get a present for 8 days. And we light the candles. And we light candles for Advent, too.

Back with Belle
Hi there everyone. It's Belle here again. A lot has happened since the last time I was here. There was Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Years. I had fun with all of them, but now I am going to talk about Hanukkah and Christmas. I got so many presents that I ran out of things to ask for. I got LOTS of Georgia Bulldog stuff. I also got lots of WWII stuff. My favorite was my authentic WWII helmet. It is huge on my head but I wear it all the time and pretend I am in battle. (I use the Nerf gun I got to attack people). My family says it gets annoying. I also got paint to paint my room. I'm going to paint it red or green. Red for the bulldogs (go dawgs!) and green because it is my favorite. Another one of my favorite presents (which is pretty sad) is The Princess Bride on Blu-ray!!!! I got a weird assortment of presents. Some were boy like ( or most were ) and some were girly. I had an awesome holiday season! I hope everyone did too! Thanks for listening. See you next time on Back with Belle! :-)

Catching Up with Connie
What's up party people?
These past few months have been fun. We had a great Thanksgiving trip down to West Palm Beach, we saw family we don't normally get to see and that is always fun. Then after West Palm we went to Universal to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. That was amazing! It was so detailed and everything was so cool!
Then the next month was December and December means two things, Hannukah and Christmas! Hannukah came on the 20th- 28th. It was a good Hannukah we had latkas and matzo ball soup. And eight days of Presents. I do not know how mom and dad do it... eight days of Hannukah and Christmas with five kids. That's a lot of shopping.
Then it was Christmas, Santa came on the 25th and then later that day we had my mom's mom's side of the family gathering. Then the next day we had my dad's mom side of the family gathering. Then the next day was my dad's dad's side of the family gathering. Oh, and the 23th was my mom's dad's side of the family gathering. All-in-all, there was a lot of family.
Some presents I got included: a bunch of Thor things, a camera, guitar, and a nook. There was a lot more but I try to keep things short and sweet, kinda like me. :-)
Then came New Years and 2011 came and went. I think it was a good year... and now comes 2012.
